> This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how The Tighlman Group LLC (also referred to as Tighlman Group LLC, "Developer," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes information in connection with TaxedFor (the "Service"), a consumer educational tool at taxedfor.com and taxedfor.vercel.app.
> The Service is operated by The Tighlman Group LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. Physical address: 3522 S Juniper St, Tempe, AZ 85282.
> Rules governing use of the Service are set out separately in our Terms of Service, which apply alongside this Policy. This Policy is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.
> This Policy applies to information processed through the Service, including W-2 uploads, manual tax-withholding entry, budget-breakdown results, and related pages.
> By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service.
> We collect only what is needed to operate the Service for users. Categories may include:
> W-2 documents you upload. If you choose Upload W-2, the file is sent to our analyze endpoint for that request only. We extract withholding figures (for example federal, Social Security, Medicare, and state amounts). We do not ask for or return name, Social Security number, or employer identity as part of the result.
> Numbers you enter manually. Box amounts and an optional state code entered on the home page are processed in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers.
> Technical information. When you use Upload W-2, we temporarily process your IP address in memory to enforce per-IP rate limits. Our hosting provider may also log connection metadata such as IP address, request path, timestamps, and similar infrastructure data needed to operate and secure the Service.
> On-device preferences. The Service may store a Pro-upsell dismissed flag or similar UI state in your browser's localStorage or sessionStorage. That data stays on your device and is not tax-document content.
> We use information to operate the Service for users of the Service, including to:
> extract W-2 withholding fields when you upload a document; calculate and display educational budget breakdowns; enforce upload rate limits and protect the Service from abuse; operate, maintain, update, and secure hosting; troubleshoot errors; and comply with law or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
> The Tighlman Group LLC and its authorized personnel may access System data and the application as needed to host, maintain, update, secure, troubleshoot, and support the System for users of the Service. This access continues for as long as we provide hosting or support.
> W-2 images or PDFs you upload are processed in-memory only for the duration of that request.
> Files are never written to disk or stored in any database by the Service. We do not retain copies of uploaded tax documents on our servers after analysis completes.
> The document is sent to AWS Textract as request bytes for OCR. Extracted numbers are returned to your browser for that session. The server-side buffer is discarded when the request ends.
> NO AI or LLM is used for W-2 analysis. Your tax document is never sent to Anthropic or any other artificial-intelligence / large-language-model system.
> Numbers entered manually are processed client-side in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers. The budget breakdown calculation happens entirely on your device.
> The Service is served over HTTPS. We take commercially reasonable measures designed to protect information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
> No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of any information. Additional warranty and liability terms appear in the Terms of Service.
> Uploaded W-2 files are not retained after the analyze request completes. Extracted figures exist in your browser session until you reset or leave the page. IP-based rate-limit counters are held in memory on the serving instance and are not written to a database. Infrastructure logs retained by our host are kept only as needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service, and as otherwise required by law.
> Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information about you, or to ask a privacy question. Because we do not store uploaded W-2s or manual entries on our servers, there is typically no tax-document record for us to retrieve after a session ends.
> To exercise any such rights, or for privacy concerns, contact The Tighlman Group LLC at the emails in Section 14. We may need to verify your identity and will respond as required by applicable law.
> The Service is not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
> We may update this Policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the effective or last-updated date on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease use of the Service. Check this page periodically for updates.
